This insulated plasterboard is the Thin-R Thermal Liner (Dot & Dab XT/TL) from Unilin Insulation and provides a high-performance solution for insulating drylining walls fixed with adhesive dabs.

The system consists of a composite PIR insulation core bonded to plasterboard, designed specifically for internal applications and installed using proprietary adhesive bonding.

Depending on the selected thickness, the system is available with either 9.5mm or 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard bonded to the PIR insulation core.

Thin-R Thermal Liner delivers insulation and drylining in one operation, making it a highly efficient solution for both new build and renovation projects.

The composite kraft paper facings on both sides act as a vapour control layer when joints are sealed in accordance with installation guidance, helping to significantly reduce the risk of condensation when installed correctly.

Manufacturing processes, quality control, and fixing methods are fully certified, ensuring consistent product quality and reliable performance on site.

Thermal conductivity: 0.022 W/m·K (PIR core, BS EN 13165)
Fire performance: Euroclass B-s1,d0

Available thicknesses: 27mm, 37.5mm, 50.5mm, 62.5mm, 72.5mm, 82.5mm.

Whether building new or upgrading, improving energy efficiency can reduce energy costs and enhance internal comfort levels.

Features:
  • Insulation and drylining in one application
  • Composite PIR insulated panels bonded to plasterboard
  • Kraft paper facings provide vapour control when joints are sealed
  • Reduced build-up thickness compared to traditional insulation systems
  • Suitable for a variety of wall types
  • Ideal for refurbishment and new build projects
  • Cost-effective thermal upgrade solution
  • Manufactured under certified quality control standards
Additional Product Information

Thin-R Thermal Liner XT/TL is designed to provide high levels of thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, making it a preferred solution in modern construction and renovation projects.

The vapour control performance is achieved through the kraft paper facings, which must be sealed at joints and edges to form a continuous vapour control layer. Correct installation is essential to achieve intended performance.

Fire safety detailing is important during installation. Fire stops should be installed at the top and bottom of boards and around all openings such as doors and windows. These are formed by continuous adhesive ribbons, which also help reduce thermal looping and improve overall wall U-values.
